The Food is Medicine Institute Community Council

About the council

As the Food is Medicine Institute deepens its commitment to community-driven work, our Community Council provides essential guidance and lived experience to ensure our efforts are grounded in the realities of those most impacted:

  • Lived experience, sharing perspectives on how food is medicine programs affect patients, caregivers, and families in everyday life.
  • Priority setting, providing feedback on research and policy directions to ensure our work reflects the needs and concerns of the community.
  • Community connection, helping raise awareness of the Institute’s work and advising on effective ways to engage with local groups and trusted messengers.
